The year 2022 marks the 50-year anniversary of the 1972 Stockholm Conference. And this year’s host country is Sweden, the place from where it all started. At the helm, over 150 countries participate each year . To mark the importance of ‘Mother Nature’, the World Environment Day is celebrated each year on June 5 to spread awareness regarding the protection and nurturing of the environment to make Earth a better place to live.
The theme for this year’s celebration is ‘Only One Earth.’ This was also the slogan for the 1972 conference in Stockholm, where the annual global event was first instituted on June 5
